My Counseling Perspective

Whether it is difficulties in your workplace, school, relationships, or how you feel about yourself, life challenges can make it difficult to function as your best self on a day to day basis. Sometimes self-care is not enough to help you feel like your most authentic self, and oftentimes, we don't prioritize our own mental health. Connection is a human need and we all deserve to feel seen and be heard. Therapy is an opportunity to invest in your healing and growth, and to learn how to not just survive, but thrive. My goal is to learn how we can work together to help you show up as your best self in all parts of your life, even when life gets hard.

As a Latinx woman and daughter of immigrants, I use my lived experiences to better connect and help those I work with. I strive to understand how your intersecting identities and lived experiences have helped create the resilient person you are and how you can overcome life’s challenges. My hope for our work together is to help you strengthen your skills and learn new tools in order for you to achieve your goals and lead a more fulfilling life.

I use a multicultural and social justice lens to help people cope with stress, depression, anxiety, adjustment and life transitions, grief and loss, first generation challenges, trauma, relationship difficulties, and exploring identity. My perspective is trauma informed, client centered, and focuses on strengths, solutions, and holistic health. I also use EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, which is recognized as an effective form of treatment for trauma and other disturbing experiences. If you would like to learn more about my approach and if we would be a good fit for your goals, please send me an email to schedule a consultation with me!

Wishing you all the best on this journey towards your healing, growth, and fulfillment.
